I saw Yeah Yeah Yeahs earlier this year at Lollapolooza, but had to view from a distance as the crowd was huge! It was an easier show to get to the front at Newcastle, all we had to do was arrive early enough to get a good spot. Karen O and her team certainly know how to pull off a good show - great combination of dramatic costumes, playing to the crowd, lighting and a huge inflatable eyeball!!

I was there too! Absolutley fantastic, one of the best bands I've seen this year.
I agree Ipin! brilliant show, I was chuffed to get near the front for this one
what kind of camera do you use at gigs, obviously you're not smuggling a great big SLR in there?
It's an out of date 6 mega pixel point and click camera - the yyy pictures are the best I've managed to date, I guess the good "white" spot lighting on stage really helped this time (the white lies pictures were taken from roughly the same spot, 3 rows back - they terrible in comparison). As I was near the front I'd also elected to use the camera in auto (rather than night) mode, using flash too. I'd love to get an SLR in there!!!
